How to Survive Working in Saudi Arabia?

This is a how-to-list of tricks, actions and gestures that I have picked up while living/working here in the Kingdom. The work environment in Saudi Arabia is remarkable in that I don’t know if work is actually occurring. The nonsensical environment that is Saudi Arabia very often blurs
the act of being productive or being a part of something productive.
This is definitely from a female perspective working in an all-female environment so they may be lost on a few fellas.

Looking for a place is a hassle no matter what country you’re in but in Saudi Arabia it is a little bit more difficult. For starters lease vacancies are widely communicated by word of mouth not
classifieds (which are of no help because they are in Arabic). Sometimes new buildings will advertise on the side of their buildings with big signs but yet again, no use to many of us because they too will be in Arabic. That’s not really the hard part you see, when renting in Saudi Arabia you need to understand that there is a big difference between a furnished and unfurnished apartment/house.
