I wanted to share one of my favoured places to pick up snacks whenever I’m in Jeddah and/or Riyadh (all over Saudi) . I absolutely love going to this shop and tasting all the different kinds of snacks available. Specializing in assortment of nuts and candies AlRIFAI is a Saudi landmark.  With the love of coffee time here you can only imagine the amounts of snacks people consume here. The thing I love most about the shop is that you purchase by weight rather than package size. This is so helpful, being single I never feel like buying a huge bag of anything because I know I will end up scarfing the entire thing.

 Saudi Arabia Hair Laser Removal

So it’s time for yet another beauty secret to be unveiled. This pick is all about hair removal. As someone with Arab ancestry, something passed down through the generations is the hairy factor. I must admit I am not overly hairy but the ever too often waxing; threading, shaving combo has been a part of my life for a while. What I didn’t know is that when the women of Saudi remove their unwanted hair they do it PERMANENTLY. So, this is where my 4th pick comes; LASER HAIR REMOVAL. It is all the rage here and with competing clinics buying for the large client base the treatments are the latest and most affordable found in the GCC. With many clinics offering full service hair removal, if you want it gone its gone!

So here goes my third pick for Saudi Arabian Beauty Bits (Pick1&Pick2), KOHL. What are more sexy then sultry eyes? I must say that even thou most women in Saudi Arabia have only their eyes visible, they have mastered the seduction through eyes. Literally these women have it going on! I know you can find hundreds of eyeliners and shadows on the market that claim to give the blackest eyes BUT I think Saudi has hit the motherboard when it comes to eyeliner.

SEX AND BEYOND: Dr. Abdul AL-Lily.

Hey guys,
I was shocked when surfing the blogosphere and found this remarkable blog about the sexual culture of Saudi’s and couldn’t believe what I was reading. Not because sexual education is shocking to me but
rather that living in the Kingdom it is probably the most taboo issue to talk about. Not only was this blog brilliantly written it was written by a Saudi; first hand account of the culture. Turns out to be very refreshing, reading about issues most expats are often bewildered about. I kept the blog bookmarked
in my favorites’ folder and passed it on to all my expat girlfriends who, just like I were flabbergasted at what they found out. Please note I kept this very secret, never read it at work and only spoke about it to my expat friends and never local friends in fear of being somewhat ostracized.
