ONLINE SHOPPING IN SAUDIA ARABIA

Expat
It seems like a decade ago I first mentioned online shopping in Saudi Arabia here on the blog. But being one of the most viewed posts of all-time it clearly speaks for itself. Many people including myself prefer online shopping, to the over crowded malls of Saudi. Not to mention the endless selection, better deals, and hard to find items all readily available at the click of a button.
As pleasant as online shopping is, the hardship falls on delivery options. With a practically non-existent postal service here in Saudi Arabia and no logical address system, delivery can become very chaotic. Let’s not forget online shopping is limited to courier service delivery that often adds a hefty surcharge to your order, sometimes making the
entire purchase impractical.
My review of the top places to shop online mentioned in my previous post still remain some of my favorites however with time comes new and better discoveries to I have listed my all-time 5 absolute favorite online shops.

How to pick-up someone in Saudi?

Expat
saudi dating

The thought of courting (romantically) in Saudi Arabia is hard to believe, let alone casual dating. But believe it and me it happens  quite a lot. In a country with strict gender-segregation rules and ultra Islamic-conservative practices it’s hard to comprehend the idea of
dating. Considering dating publicly is strictly against the law here, keep it discrete and you may get away with it. I am by no means advocating forbidden dating. I am a realist and truth be told, it happens. So, for all you single expats venturing out to Saudi Arabia this may in fact be the place you find your soul mate (cheesy, I know).

I have listed the top 5 most popular ways to pick up somebody; Keep in mind discretion is key.

Shopping Online in Saudi Arabia (Top 5 online stores)

Expat

online shopping saudi arabia

Once you arrive in Saudi Arabia and have your first experience with the postal service you will quickly understand why many choose to stay away from online shopping. I have been through my fair share of postal disputes, refunds, hassles etc. when it comes to online shopping.
So why even bother? Honestly, I love online shopping it is one of my favorite hobbies. Also, the deals you get online are unheard of here and so are many of the fashion options. I do tend to prefer to get most of my fashion and beauty buys online. After a few years of experience
I have tailored a short list of the best online shops delivering to Saudi Arabia. In terms of options, price and customer service all these places totally satisfied my shopping experience.

Things Women Should Bring to Saudi

Expat
This post is a little guide to things you should think about bring to Saudi Arabia. The items listed are either not available, forbidden, limited and/or overly priced. I know when first moving to Saudi I was completely baffled about what to bring and ended up bring all the wrong things. This doesn’t only apply to Saudi Arabia, if you are considering relocating anywhere in the Middle East, this can be of help.
Of course there may be some things that don’t apply to you or are not listed and I would love to hear what they are. I always end up making a “Thing to get @home” list the minute I return to Saudi that ends up going on for the entire year. So keep in mind, that you can and will go home eventually!
