I promise you that we do more than eat here on the blog. But with that being said we do love a freshly baked goodie once in awhile, and after so many local recommendations there is no surprise where we went searching. Helen’s Bakery is a refreshing change from the overly sugary, chemically tasting perfect cupcakes that fill bakeries across Saudi Arabia. I’ve mentioned our love for Asian food a few times here on the blog and even thou we try anything and everything, only some places are truly blog worthy. The next spotlighted Asian restaurant found here in Jeddah has to be PANJAN ASIAN Restaurant. Not only is it located in one of my favorite dining scenes (THE COURTYARD) in town but the food and service was excellent.

After debating the menu we finally settled on a few dishes we could finally agree on. The order had us impressed everything served seemed to get better and better.

MARBLE SLAB CREAMERY . Offering over a dozen delicious flavors to choose from and endless amount of mix-ins to make it even better. Thankful for such a helpful staff that let me try all the flavors. They’re really good like that. Watch while they make your ice-cream masterpiece come to life, folding in the ingredients on a cold slab keeping everything nice and chilled.

Getting good Chinese food here in Saudi Arabia is not promising and usually a let down. After trying half a dozen mediocre places to get anything close to decent Chinese take-out, I think I may have hit the mother load. This place is extremely popular amongst locals and expats alike
and the line-up out the door is an everyday occurrence, after giving it a try I can see why.
