ONLINE SHOPPING IN SAUDIA ARABIA

Expat
It seems like a decade ago I first mentioned online shopping in Saudi Arabia here on the blog. But being one of the most viewed posts of all-time it clearly speaks for itself. Many people including myself prefer online shopping, to the over crowded malls of Saudi. Not to mention the endless selection, better deals, and hard to find items all readily available at the click of a button.
As pleasant as online shopping is, the hardship falls on delivery options. With a practically non-existent postal service here in Saudi Arabia and no logical address system, delivery can become very chaotic. Let’s not forget online shopping is limited to courier service delivery that often adds a hefty surcharge to your order, sometimes making the
entire purchase impractical.
My review of the top places to shop online mentioned in my previous post still remain some of my favorites however with time comes new and better discoveries to I have listed my all-time 5 absolute favorite online shops.
1. SHOPBOP: For so many reasons I find this site AMAZING. They offer all the hottest trends, brand names and he selection of women’s apparel at great prices. Some things are pricier then others however that comes with its perks. Offering hard to find designer goods you can get everything from Alexander Wang to Kate Spade. Let’s not forget their sale
selection is very tempting; with prices being reduced almost 70%.
*** Biggest perk: ALL ORDERS INCLUDE FREE INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS SHIPPING
2. ASOS: I mentioned this in the earlier post but I had to do it once again because I am still very impressed by their service to Saudi Arabia. There selection of their house brand mixed in with designer brands makes this place an ultimate shopping haven. There prices are very reasonable and their sales are even better.
*** Biggest perk: THERE EXCLUSIVE NIKE SHOP AND ASOS WHITE COLLECTIONS
Official Site:http://www.asos.com
3.iHerb: This is a different option for those looking to buy everything from supplements to beauty products. I love that they offer a wide range of vitamins, protein products and organic food supplements. This is especially great for expats that are use to such large options of health and wellness products easily accessible to them back home. Things like
essential oils, food essences and
*** Biggest perk: ENTIRE BABY SECTION OFFERING ORGANIC EVERYTHING
Official site: http://sa.iherb.com/
4. CULT BEAUTY: If you love make-up/skincare then you can understand my constant frustration that almost no cosmetic brand is fully stocked here in Saudi Arabia. Forget being fully stocked many coveted brands are not even available. With such limited options it’s only understandable to look online and no place is better to find beauty must-haves
than CultBeauty. Everything from Becca highlighters to Anastasia contour
kits.
***Biggest perk: ORDERS OVER 50GBP INCLUDE FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING! (Trust me, very easy to do!)
5.eXtra: This may be misplaced because this shop is actually here in Saudi Arabia but lets not forget that even online shopping within Saudi can be better then the actual shops. eXtra is an electronic/appliance shop basically the “BestBuy” of Saudi Arabia. You can get everything from cellphones to refrigerators and a wide selection of everything in between. I like this because it gives you the option of online shopping, paying cash on delivery and your option of paying through SADAD.
***Biggest perk:AVOID TRAFFIC AND GET ACCESS TO A MUCH LARGER STOCK THEN WHATS AT THE STORE.

Hi you mentioned Asos in one of your posts before! May i know which courier does KSA use once Asos order reaches here if i use express shipping? What about standard shipping? How long do they take to arrive? Is there any handling fees? Thank you so much!!

Aramex is the courier service used for express shipping. I haven’t had any successful tries with standard shipping(ie. lost packages etc). As for handling fees there are no additional costs to your order other than the fixed shipping costs paid at time of order.
      Hope that helps!
