The lighted city of Madinah/ Medina, to many Muslims around the world it’s a place they only dream of ever visiting. I’m never unappreciative of the fact that I work and live in a country that so many only dream of visiting. For non-Muslims it is a city closed off and entry prohibited. My love for Istanbul, Turkey speaks volumes and endless photos. So, considering I took 100’s of pics over the holidays it’s so super hard to skim through all of them but here are a few more. This was one of my favourite places visited; Aya Sophia. A building holding so much history and the paradigm of two religions co-existing in the same place of worship is mesmerizing. Istanbul Turkey, is one of those places that could have you visit over a hundred times, being impressed every single time. It is the most amazing city and I can’t recommend it enough.
This trip couldn’t have come at a better time. It was the first trip of 2014 and I needed it badly. We’ve been planning to visit Turkey over the last year but push come to shove something always changed the plans. So we stuck to the plans and ventured out to the lovely city of Istanbul and all its glory.
