For those of you in Riyadh this cafe may be an old favorite, but for us here in Jeddah it is a new gem. The french inspired cafe is located in the new swanky Prestige Mall on King Abdul Aziz Street and has become very popular. Making our way there for Friday brunch was only expected. The cafe is beautifully decorated and the seating area for families is perfectly arranged in 3 sections including an outside terrace, glass pane lower level and view admiring upper level. The menu for breakfast/ brunch is pretty varied including french toast to shakshouka (Arabic egg dish).
The food was good, the size of the plates were surprisingly fitting for 1 person. Which you may know here in Saudi Arabia it is not common, but rather large servings are the norm. The selection of teas and coffee was decent as were the fresh juice listings. The stand out of the entire experience has to be the customer service. It was spectacular, the waiters were gracious and kind. From opening the door (handy when pushing a stroller) to menu briefings. They were quick to accommodate any and all needs and were very nice when it came to rearranging the seating so our kid could stay in stroller while close by.
We ordered Eggs Benedict, a cheese and turkey croissant and french toast. By far the french toast was the best hands down, the croissant was nothing special and with a 40Sar price tag pretty regrettable. The caramel cafe latte was absolutely divine, strong enough to give you the pick me up you need at breakfast but smooth and creamy.
Overall, it was nice. I do like that there was so many areas to choose to be seated also that the beverages came quickly after being ordered. If you are looking for a nice quiet place for breakfast then this place you want to be at.
