There’s something very satisfying about licking your fingers after stuffing chicken wings into your mouth.Your fingers tend to be sticky, coated in a rich often spicy yet tangy BBQ sauce. Well, that’s just the way I like it. Considering I think chicken wings are done best when the night includes an all-you-can-eat sign and a bar setting, finding something to compare in Jeddah is quite the challenge. I have had my share of chicken wings here in Jeddah, it tends to be the appetizer of choice whenever we dine-out and more times than none it is often a disappointment. So, when you decide to name your restaurant Buffalo Wings and Rings and offer a menu specializing in just that, you need to be able to deliver.
Recently opened Buffalo Wings and Rings here in Jeddah, means of course we had to visit. Opting for a lunch of wings we made our way there. Please note that parking is limited but spaces are available along the street. The restaurant’s family section is found on the upper level and is furnished in their signature bold bright orange seating.Having a quick glance at the menu, of course we opted for two dishes of wings each one serving 6-8 wings. To keep things decent we opted for a buffalo chicken salad and a burger to share. The wings are offered boneless (isn’t that just a nugget) or with bones. Traditionally we chose with bones and the flavors where “X” and “spicy buffalo”. The food was delivered in a timely manner, and the waiters were very pleasant. The salad was delicious and huge easily sharable amongst the table. The wings were good the spicy buffalo was good, but the flavour “X” was a bit much. The burger arrived a long time after the rest of the food, and with belly’s almost full. The burger was disgusting. No way to put it nicely , don’t order a beef burger in a place that specializes in chicken wings. Big mistake.
Overall, they offer what they claim. Good wings, crispy delicious french fries and rings. It is yet to convince me it deserves the title of wing spot. But in due time it will suffice.
